Back for this new season the Icelantic Gypsy SKNY remains almost unchanged. It’s actually a smaller shrunken down version of their Gypsy to make this a more manageable all-mountain type of ski. For this new season the team at Icelantic narrowed the ski to a 99 mm underfoot. This adjustment provides better edgehold and response on hard snow. The ski’s full reverse camber will give you an agile, smooth and effortless turn initiation. Similar to the Pioneer and the Shaman the graphics on this ski are also stunning. If you’re looking for a playful all-mountain ski that also handles the groomers well, than the Icelantic Gypsy SKNY is a good choice.
Pros
- Layers of fiber glass making the ski stiff.
- Offers all-round versatility with confidence.
- This ski floats well, offers a ‘surf’ kind off ride.
Cons
- The Gypsy SKNY is less of a powder specialist.
