When it comes to the 2017 Arbor Cadence snowboard, it’s all about finding your rhythm on the mountain. That’s why the board wizards at Arbor build the Cadence: a women’s specific snowboard that comes with a softer flex and a poppy character. It’s a versatile board that will bring you to your happy place. Whether that’s in the terrain park or in the backcountry areas. This board just wants you to have fun.
Its design features a True Twin shape combined with a Continuous Rocker profile. Which makes this board easy to ride and land switch with nearly zero effort. The Arbor System Rocker technology features a full parabolic rocker that’s mellower toward the board’s tip and tail. This enables a better edge contact with the snow. A full parabolic rocker also gives a loose, catch-free feel for turning. As well as unreal floatation on fresh untracked powder snow. Special grip tech ensures this board has the extra bit to carve well on hardpack and icy surfaces. Compared to last season this board hasn’t changed much. On snow, it offers a semi-stable ride that has a kind of loose feel between the feet. Turning is easy as this board goes quickly from edge to edge. Both on short radius turns as well as wider radius turns.
The special side cuts do their work properly as this boards edge hold is just excellent. Almost as good as the boards from GNU we tested earlier this season. Because this board can ride really fast, you will feel some chatter when passing the moderate speed barrier. On uneven terrain, it handles bumps with no problem. Offering a nice balance of speed and shock absorption. Jumping with this board is lot’s of fun since it’s very poppy and easy to spring. Even the smallest kicker or natural terrain will make you head into the air. Overall, the 2017 Arbor Cadence is a very fun snowboard that will make many riders happy. Inside and outside the park. But also freestyle-minded shredders that like to ride the entire mountain.
