Review
When you are looking for an all-mountain freestyle workhorse, consider the 2017 Arbor Coda Camber snowboard. This multiple awards winning snowboard has returned for yet another season. For a fully engaged and powerful riding experience that will rail on hardback and devour powder, you will need a board that’s up to the task. And this one is build to turn your mountain fun into the stuff of legends.
This board features a True Twin shape combined with a Mostly Camber profile. Unlike the more traditional camber designs, this board is fitted with Arbor’s System Camber. This tip-to-tail camber profile allows it to hold aggressively through turns and offers lots of pop for jumping. Meanwhile, the board’s uplifted contact points reduce the grabby feel. Mix it together and you will get a board that’s not only responsive but it also will not throw you off balance when you make mistakes. On snow, it offers a nice catch-free ride that is at its best on groomers. On bumpy terrain, you will definitely feel some vibrations but still a very comfortable ride. When it comes to turning and carving you have to find it’s sweet spot. It does grip well but we also experienced some wash-outs. It may not be the fastest available, but it offers a decent glide at speed.
Overall, the 2017 Arbor Coda Camber snowboard does not disappoint. We really like this board’s design and it cuts through snow easily with a stable yet playful personality. This cambered version of the Coda is more responsive and stable than the Arbor Coda Rocker and will appeal to riders seeking the steepest lines and biggest hits on the mountain.
