Looking for a snowboard that offers a snappy response, deep edge hold and an intuitive ride? Then pick up the 2017 Arbor Westmark Camber snowboard. A solid deck that doesn’t fall victim to the current rocker design trend. Take on the park with speed or simply stomp your landings. With this board, you will get the edge you will need to literally elevate your riding style and perfect your craft.
The team at Arbor created a camber version of the award-winning Arbor Westmark Rocker. For riders who preferred a little more pop and power. Three unique design elements make up Arbor’s camber apart from the standard snowboard camber. First, a parabolic camber arc creates a lower profile for a less-catchy feel without sacrificing pop. Second, slightly lifted contact points help to smooth things out when you don’t land perfectly. Third, two additional contact points extend out from the inserts along each edge for improved edge hold on icy surfaces. On snow, this board feels similar to the Rocker version but more stable. It’s not a quick turner as this board goes slower from edge to edge. It does go around easy but we noticed it likes to go straight a bit more. Carving, however, is a huge improvement.
Although still not perfect this is a nice board to carve your way around the mountain. At speed, this board remained stable and comfortable even on the more uneven terrain. Our team tried out several jumps with this board and we really liked how it pops out of the tail. Adding more fun to it as well. Overall, the 2017 Arbor Westmark Camber snowboard offers a nice freestyle ride for an accessible price. For those who like to play around in the park and carve on the mountain.
