Forever evolving and consistently present. The 2017 Burton Feelgood snowboard is back for another season to offer all-mountain precision for the adventurous riders. This board is possibly the most confident and proved deck in Burton’s women line-up. Its Traditional Camber profile is matched with a medium-stiff flex. This combination delivers unmatched pop, edge hold and power without feeling loose or squirrely when you’re riding fast on steeper slopes. It offers a precise and engaging ride.
Perhaps the biggest bonus for this season is the Carbon Highlights. These not only reduce the board’s weight but also making it more playful and lively from the tip-to-tail. Meanwhile, the Directional Twin shape ensure you can make your way through variable conditions easily. On snow, this board feels well-balanced, it carves nicely and picks up speed fairly well. If you can get this board really well waxed then you’re also capable of riding a long flat track fast. Turning with this board is a joy. It springs nicely out of a carve and if you know how to turn then it becomes real fun. This board rides stable on powder but the nose does want to dig-in occasionally. Powder riders are better off choosing the Flying V version of this board.
The edge hold is pretty ok, it handles uneven terrain nicely but on harder icy conditions it tends to slide underfoot and therefore needs more grip. For the ladies who like to jump this board offers a nice amount of spring. Allowing you to take on natural features of play in the park. Overall, the 2017 Burton Feelgood snowboard has a really good vibe and it’s a good match for pros or just riders who thrive on a little friendly all-mountain freestyle competition.
