Get ready for a wild ride. The 2017 GNU Hard Candy snowboard for women is here to offer you unreal style and progression from your local mountain resorts to the streets. This soft flexing all-mountain freestyle board is build by GNU to encourage you to try out new tricks. Or to show your friends the ones you have already mastered. This board’s Asymmetrical Twin shape provides all-mountain versatility with a well-balanced geometry. Its Hybrid Rocker profile features rocker between the feet and mild camber that also stretches out to the board’s tip and tail.
This combination enables a catch-free ride on hard snow and proper floatation on fresh powder. Meanwhile the asymmetric side cuts make sure your edge-to-edge transitions feels naturally with almost little to no effort. On snow, this offers lots of fun. We had a blast riding it around our local resort as well as doing some stunts in the park. The board transitions smoothly and gives a really natural feel underfoot. In fresh snow this board planed nicely and it also retained its speed on the flatter sections. Our team also likes the top sheet, which features some really nice 90’s inspired artwork.
Overall, the 2017 GNU Hard Candy snowboard is a versatile snowboard that makes free styling around the mountain like a dream. It’s a good choice for the intermediate to advanced riders who are looking to take their park riding to the next level. No, this board isn’t that hard at all. It’s just sweet.
