There is probably no better option for a freestyle-oriented allrounder than the 2017 GNU Ladies Choice snowboard. Designed in cooperation with the famous snowboarder Jamie Anderson, this board is built to rock hard all day long. Perfectly in balance in any condition, and looking for more. For many experienced riders who enjoy competitions, this is often their weapon of choice.
This board’s profile features a blend of rocker between the feet combined with elliptical cambers out to the board’s contact areas. Which gives freestyle freedom and a more aggressive ride. Its medium flex combined with the asymmetric design makes this board respond really well. Both in the park and the steeper mountain sections. Aspen wood runs down the middle of the core to give it strength, while a blend of poplar gives keeps it flexible. On snow, this board rides stable with an all-mountain freestyle feel. Compared to previous versions the edge hold is less grippy, which is nice for riding on softer snow. However, it still grips really nice on icy surfaces.
Turning and carving is lots of fun. This board is easy from edge-to-edge and the tip and tail are more engaging out of the turn. At high speed, this board keeps it nice and stable. On uneven terrain, it absorbs bumps really well. For those who like to jump, this is a great deck for the park and natural mountain features. Overall, the 2017 GNU Ladies Choice snowboard offers proper freestyle action anywhere on the mountain. This board just keeps getting better.
