Review
The GNU Smart Pickle is an all-mountain freestyle snowboard that is built for intermediate to advanced riders that prefer as asymmetric ride. Underneath its colourful top sheet, GNU built a soft reverse camber profile. This set-up enables an easy and forgiving ride. Over the last two years this board has gained stability and remains chatter free at high speed. It can get a bit squirrely but only when you’re flat basing. The board’s solid pressure between the feet allows for easy and fun turning. Carving goes well and when it comes to edge hold this board grips really good, even on hard icy surfaces.
With its medium-stiff flex this board will fit a variety of conditions, from riding on groomed runs to powder. It also handles more tracked up snow quite well. Because of the board’s Twin Shape and asymmetrical side cut, it’s easy to ride switch. The light wooden core gives a lively feel with a nice amount of pop. When approaching a kicker this board will keep you stable while offering a decent amount of spring. Overall the GNU Smart Pickle is an amazing deck that will be appreciated by all types of riders.
